Local AI Model Download

The on-device AI model is optional. To enable all five thinking methods and rewrite features offline, open Settings in InspirationDraft, tap Download Local AI Model, and wait until the status shows ready. The initial download requires an internet connection and sufficient free storage.

• If the download fails, check your connection, keep the app open, and try again.
• If storage is low, free up device space or remove the model and re-download later.
• Once installed, all AI thinking and rewrite actions run on-device — no internet required.
• You can also configure your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint in Settings if you prefer cloud AI.

Privacy and Data

Your drafts are stored locally and synced via iCloud (visible only to you). InspirationDraft does not collect, transmit, or store your notes on our servers. When using Local AI, all inference runs on your device. If you configure a third-party AI endpoint, only the text you explicitly submit is sent to the endpoint you chose.

Version Timeline

Each time you save a draft, InspirationDraft can create a version snapshot. To restore an older version, open the draft, tap the clock icon, and select any previous snapshot. Versions are stored locally on your device and in iCloud.

Scene Categories

You can organise drafts using built-in scene tags (Work, Startup, Writing, Learning, etc.) or create custom categories. To manage categories, go to Settings → Scene Categories.
